thinking ahead

This week has been difficult as I had to decide which high school I was going to. I finally settled upon the more academic one, as yes, it is much better in academics and would benefit me more in the long-term. Yay.

Anyways, my birthday is in about 2 weeks! My grandparents and aunt and uncle are flying in, so everyone will be here. Also that week is Confirmation (sadly it’s on a track meet weekend, so I can’t go to that one unfortunately). I showed you my dress in one of the previous posts, and now I just have to find some shoes.

And for my birthday… I was looking into the Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens. I don’t know though, because at $300 it’s expensive. I’ve been starting to save so I can at least have some cash!

Also this weekend there’s a track meet! I’m doing shot put, the 4 by 100, and the 4 by 400. I’m so nervous…. my coach said that she has faith in me and that if I push myself I will do well!

Pizza time, have a lovely weekend!

what weekends are for

Friday night, I went over my friend’s house for a Movie Night. There was about eight of us, and we watched The Last Exorcism. Pillows are my new best friend as they shield me from horrors I do not wish to see. Unfortunately, we did not get to see the ending as Comcast decided on bringing up the menu and not letting us watch the movie. We all screamed when it paused. My friend was next to me and had a complete poker face on the whole entire movie, and I asked him, “how does this not freak you out?!” Haha, I had such a great time with everyone eating pizza and hanging out! We all planned that we would do it again sometime soon.

Then on Saturday I went to this Medieval Festival with my two friends. It was so cool seeing everyone dressed up in fancy schmancy costumes! We also met some princes, and was completely flattered when he said “my smile outshined all the stars in the universe.” The other friend also gave my friend a kiss on the cheek! We also rode an elephant and met a Justin Bieber look-a-like! He’s awesome & I’m proud to say I’m his friend on Facebook.

Ahh, then today I went with my mom and sister to this Book Fair, and I got so much free stuff! I got a dictionary, bunch of bookmarks, smoothies, squishy cow, sunscreen, and a bracelet. Then after we went to Barnes & Noble and I bought Paper Towns and An Abundance of Katherines by John Green and then The Perks of Being a Wallflower by like a Steve something or other…

Definitely a weekend to remember!

Decision Making Time

Last weekend I got news from this really selective, highly academic high school saying they wanted me at their school and gave me a high scholarship. Now it’s about the same price as the other high school I was going to go to.

Only problem? Which one do I go to?!

You see, all my friends are going to high school numero uno, whereas if I go to high school numero dos then I will have no one. Also numero uno has 300 freshmen and numero dos only has 53. Big difference.

I mean, it’s not like I didn’t move all the way to the other side of the country where I knew no one and started a school week later. So basically, it’s not like I haven’t been through this kind of ordeal before.

But seriously… decisions, decisions! Ugh.

Also on Saturday my dad and I went out for lunch at this French Café restaurant and it was realllyyy good! Definitely one of my fave dining places around here now!

Also one the trip to San Diego, I found my Confirmation dress! I’m worried though that the priests/teachers may be a little concerned about the length. I still have to buy a sweater and shoes to go with it, but I absolutely loveeeee this dress!

Alright, I have 3 major tests on Friday, so I need to get studying! And because of that, I have to miss Yearbook and Track tomorrow. Also tomorrow during the morning Student Council (aka me and my assistant) will be selling Smencils for leukemia patient who goes to the school. So if you know me and go to my school, bring in a dollar and buy a Smencil!
