thinking ahead

This week has been difficult as I had to decide which high school I was going to. I finally settled upon the more academic one, as yes, it is much better in academics and would benefit me more in the long-term. Yay.

Anyways, my birthday is in about 2 weeks! My grandparents and aunt and uncle are flying in, so everyone will be here. Also that week is Confirmation (sadly it’s on a track meet weekend, so I can’t go to that one unfortunately). I showed you my dress in one of the previous posts, and now I just have to find some shoes.

And for my birthday… I was looking into the Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens. I don’t know though, because at $300 it’s expensive. I’ve been starting to save so I can at least have some cash!

Also this weekend there’s a track meet! I’m doing shot put, the 4 by 100, and the 4 by 400. I’m so nervous…. my coach said that she has faith in me and that if I push myself I will do well!

Pizza time, have a lovely weekend!

what weekends are for

Friday night, I went over my friend’s house for a Movie Night. There was about eight of us, and we watched The Last Exorcism. Pillows are my new best friend as they shield me from horrors I do not wish to see. Unfortunately, we did not get to see the ending as Comcast decided on bringing up the menu and not letting us watch the movie. We all screamed when it paused. My friend was next to me and had a complete poker face on the whole entire movie, and I asked him, “how does this not freak you out?!” Haha, I had such a great time with everyone eating pizza and hanging out! We all planned that we would do it again sometime soon.

Then on Saturday I went to this Medieval Festival with my two friends. It was so cool seeing everyone dressed up in fancy schmancy costumes! We also met some princes, and was completely flattered when he said “my smile outshined all the stars in the universe.” The other friend also gave my friend a kiss on the cheek! We also rode an elephant and met a Justin Bieber look-a-like! He’s awesome & I’m proud to say I’m his friend on Facebook.

Ahh, then today I went with my mom and sister to this Book Fair, and I got so much free stuff! I got a dictionary, bunch of bookmarks, smoothies, squishy cow, sunscreen, and a bracelet. Then after we went to Barnes & Noble and I bought Paper Towns and An Abundance of Katherines by John Green and then The Perks of Being a Wallflower by like a Steve something or other…

Definitely a weekend to remember!

Decision Making Time

Last weekend I got news from this really selective, highly academic high school saying they wanted me at their school and gave me a high scholarship. Now it’s about the same price as the other high school I was going to go to.

Only problem? Which one do I go to?!

You see, all my friends are going to high school numero uno, whereas if I go to high school numero dos then I will have no one. Also numero uno has 300 freshmen and numero dos only has 53. Big difference.

I mean, it’s not like I didn’t move all the way to the other side of the country where I knew no one and started a school week later. So basically, it’s not like I haven’t been through this kind of ordeal before.

But seriously… decisions, decisions! Ugh.

Also on Saturday my dad and I went out for lunch at this French Café restaurant and it was realllyyy good! Definitely one of my fave dining places around here now!

Also one the trip to San Diego, I found my Confirmation dress! I’m worried though that the priests/teachers may be a little concerned about the length. I still have to buy a sweater and shoes to go with it, but I absolutely loveeeee this dress!

Alright, I have 3 major tests on Friday, so I need to get studying! And because of that, I have to miss Yearbook and Track tomorrow. Also tomorrow during the morning Student Council (aka me and my assistant) will be selling Smencils for leukemia patient who goes to the school. So if you know me and go to my school, bring in a dollar and buy a Smencil!

My trip to San Diego!

Posted in 2011, Travel, Vacation | 1 Comment

Off to the West Coast!

I’ve been caught up in school work lately, finishing off Science Fair and studying for the exam… But I’m free now, so it’s all good! I changed the layout and updated a few pages, and I think it looks a lot more polished!

I’ve been having to coordinate my summer schedule, as my parents need to sign me up for camps and such. I’ve talked to Wal-Mart about overnight camp, but she’s doing sailing camp, and I don’t know when she can do it, as she has not responded to my message….! I’m actually going to stay a week at Summer’s too, so that should be fun. And then she’s going to come back and live with me for a week too!

Also, for my mom’s birthday, we might go to San Diego! Ahh, I’m so excited! Well, we don’t know for sure yet, but I hope we can! I will take my new camera with me, which I named Pierre and got for Christmas and take a bunch of pictures! (most likely) It’s a Nikon D3100, and I love it (him) to death! Here’s a picture:

He’s so beautifullllll!

Back in February, Glee started again! Ahh, it’s so wonderful being able to watch it again! It always makes me laugh, and I love the whole cast, haha.

Ooh, also track started! Practice has been going on all week and it’s fun. We played Duck, Duck, Goose on Friday where we had to sprint, and well… I got tagged, boo. I usually do long jump, but according to my friend Berry, there’s like 30 kids who do it, so I’m like “ehhh…” That’s why I’m going to try High Jump! I will be following in Bubbles footsteps, huzzah!

My dad just took my sister and I to In-N-Out burger and then we went to go get some ice cream. It’s really cloudy today, just the way I like it.

Love, Chloé

Let’s talk holiday wishes.

We moved my bed into my room a couple nights ago. Also I have some make-shifts bookshelves and I’ve arranged all the books I’ve bought here or brought with me. All the Harry Potter books are kind of as a post all the other books lean on so they don’t fall. The old license plate is hanging up nicely and my friend who we shall name Autumn drew me a picture with my name so that’s next to it. There’s a Delia*s bag in the corner and I have the basketball photo next to my bed. My desk has all the rest of my junk on it. And then there’s the exam book guides sitting in the corner, all alone…. They’ll be getting some love the next couple of weeks and days.

Tomorrow my whole entire class is spending a day at a high school so we can check it out. I’m carpooling with Autumn and some other friends. After I’m sleeping over Autumn’s house and the weekend will be spent studying for the exam, homework & sleep! And the weather is soooo nice here but I actually kind of miss the snow and the days where I would walk home with my hair matted down, the smell of cookies and warmth. It’s a feeling you can never find anywhere else.

Stressful week. I’m such a procrastinator with things, it’s actually kind of ridiculous…

So. I’ve been thinking more about Christmas. Everyone has replied to the Hot Chocolate Party with a definite yes! (which is really good, btw). Also my one friend Chestnut might have like a little Christmas party too,  but I might not be here! So we’re trying to figure out a day we can alll be there :) And also, Christmas list… And Santa… And gifts….

I’ve been looking more at the Canon EOS Rebel XS and it looks super cool… I’ve always wanted one of those cameras like foreverrrr. Also I’m pretty good with Photoshop so that would be cool to use on photos like that! Also I’d name it Clandestine, because I like that word a lot, and also it’s like a secret desire… Clandestine… make sense? :) So this is officially added onto my list along with Chanel Le Vernis Rose Insolent Nail Polish, new bookshelf, Borders gift card, & Toy Story 3 on DVD. I enjoy my list.

That’s all for now, love you all dearly

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

No school on Wednesday, thank goodness. Just kidding. There was school but my mom let me skip ☺

Tuesday we had school though, but it was okay because the teachers brought us in hot chocolate. I was just like omgasdfghjkl I love you all ♥ Anddddd since I’m on Student Council I got two cups instead of one!

My Grandma also flew in Tuesday afternoon and right after school we drove up to the state capitol (We as in me, my mom, and my sister. My dad’s in Brazil.) We had dinner at my great uncle’s house. Lasagna, Garlic bread and Pumpkin pie ! It was all really good and I was stuffed by the time we left. They all came over for Thanksgiving which was simply delicious. Also I wore my skirt nbd.

So right after Thanksgiving…. The whole family (besides my dad) went Black Friday shopping! I got myself two pairs of Jeans from Delia’s (if your a Delia’s fan, I got a Taylor and Morgan jean. Love them both) a nice gray sweater, Bath & Body Works Liplicious lip gloss (they taste and are so good), and a pair of black flats and tan moccasins. I didn’t find any shirts, but oh well. Speaking of shopping it’s almost… CHRISTMAS! ☃

I already have a few things on my list… Care to let me show/explain?

1. Toy Story 3 on DVD

Bah, one of my favorite movies of all time ♥ Of course this is on my list!

2. Chanel Le Vernis Rose Insolent Nail Polish

I’ve recently entered this mode where I like painting my nails. Also I like this color. Enough said.

3. Trampoline (?)

Why the question mark? Well it’s really more of my sister’s thing she wants, but I kinda want it too…. Kinda. So I mean, I think it deserves a spot on my list.

4. Borders Gift Card

I love books. I love borders. I love everything about that store. Definitely on my list.

5. New iPod case

In desperate need of a new one. Still searching for the right one, so I’m not sure exactly which one yet.

?. Nikon Coolpix P100/Canon – EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1-Megapixel Digital SLR

Now… there’s no number because it’s not really on my list. I already have a perfectly good camera (the TLL25 Samsung Dualview) and it works very well. I use it often and it takes ah-mazing pictures. I enjoy photography, I really do and I’d like to take the photography class they have to offer next year or the year after that. But this camera, for some reason, I’ve always found the Nikon cameras interesting. I’ve always wanted one, but I didn’t really bother asking because it was futile at the time. I’ve compared my current camera to P100 and while the P100 zooms better and there’s more focus, I’m still not sure. I’d be pleased if I got this for Christmas but I also wouldn’t be disappointed if I didn’t. Any comments on this dilema?

[EDIT] Thinking back now… I dunno if I should put this on my list for Christmas this. I’ve already gotten MC (muhh blackberrayy ♥) & I’m coming back to da hometown for a week right after. I guess this’ll just have to be on hold until further notice. I’d rather have the Canon – EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1-Megapixel Digital SLR than the P100. If I have to wait 10+ years just to get it though, I willlll! And I have time too, I’m already spoiled as it xoxo Love you  Mom & Dad [/EDIT]

I sent out a Facebook invite to all my friends about the Hot Chocolate party, and most everyone can come. Which is good. Now I just gotta get planning on those Christmas gifts! (and somehow magically come up with the money because as of right now I only have 2 dollars. No bueno.)

Anywho, that’s all for now. Have a lovely night!
